I have a feeling in about 3 months, I'll come back to you and say, "Ah ha! I understand now!"

Just got a cookbook deal this week and I'm scared to death about writing for something that stays on bookshelves for a long time!

There are no "control-z"s to undo anything i write!

Noting well that you left out some clear requirements of writing, at least the way I understand it or have seen it portrayed in the media.

Coffee - voluminous quantities. Perhaps the reason that Volatire did as well as he did was the 50+ cups a day. Or perhaps that was Balzac. Or maybe it was just the kidney stones. You wait until 8:00AM to get the coffee. Too late. You should have started before bedtime.

Angst - Self Loathing is insufficient. You should have loathing about something EXTERNAL. Try working retail. Perhaps Eliot's bank days (T.S., not George) led to the passion in his works. Then again maybe not.

Abject Poverty - You have a TV, so I guess this is not sufficient poverty. Try not eating. This may lead to hallucinations. You might be able to use this.

Drug use - See Coffee, hallucinations.
